The Brief

When our client envisioned a “Dapper Evening” in the heart of Winchcombe, they needed local, experienced event planners to act as a safe pair of hands for a highly tailored celebration.

Set within the beautifully restored walls of a former Methodist Church, the striking historic architecture of Isbourne Arts provided the perfect dramatic backdrop for the event, requiring a design that would seamlessly complement the planned vintage-style entertainment and rich, jewel-toned styling.

Our Solution

Oasis Events was thrilled to bring this bespoke vision to life. To transform the space, we utilised dramatic red velvet drapes alongside towering crystal chandeliers. Guests mingled and met at small cabaret-style tables with vintage roses, candlelight, and bespoke, stylised printed menus.

Our creative approach ensures every detail is personalised. Arrivals were greeted with a champagne tower specially requested – and poured! – by the hostess, and fresh cocktails, served from a striking gold-slatted semi-circular bar. The evening’s entertainment was equally tailored, transitioning from the smooth sounds of a live pianist to a lively, era-spanning performance by the Spitfire Sisters. Guests first met them at the door for a smiling, costumed welcome and photos, then were surprised by the first song being performed from the balcony above before a rousing rendition of Happy Birthday to our hostess, and an opportunity to photograph the whole group. Later, for their stage performance with vintage microphones and spot lighting, the Spitfire Sisters roused the crowd to get their dancing shoes on, and they did not stop!

Roaming food was served throughout the evening, by way of canapes and bowl food, all tailored to the preferences of the hostess and her VIP planning assistant, her sister.
